| Hotel Villa Gasparini is an 18th century mansion that well reflects the splendour of the golden age of Riviera del Brenta. The owners of this demesne, the Gasparini family, were originally from the Orient.
The building has been painstakingly restored, retaining all the original features of its historical and artistic heritage, including the traditional Venetian terrazzo floors, made from coloured marble chips ground with crushed stone and stucco, the 18th century gilt-wood window pelmets, and the ceilings with the original exposed beams.
Distant echoes from the Orient that had such a strong influence on Venetian style can be seen in the marquetry of the inlaid wood mantel and the partitions of the breakfast room.
The Hotel is located in Dolo, one of the town along the Riviera del Brenta just 15 km from Venice and Padua. |
